Rolling Hills |
| The City of Rolling Hills is a private gated community of 2000 residents
situated on 1,889 acres in the center of the Peninsula. Rolling Hills is a
beautiful wooded area with deep tree lined canyons and hilly terrain. The
City is an equestrian community characterized by one-story rambling ranch
style homes, private roadways and 23 miles of trails. From its inception in
1936, Rolling Hills has been guided by deed restrictions established by the
original developer. With the incorporation of the City in January 1957 as a
general law city, the responsibility of governmental activity has been
assumed by a city council-city manager system of local government. There is
no commerce or industry in Rolling Hills. Three gated and guarded entrances
control access to this City and are operated by a private homeowners
association. The minimum lot size is one acre with some parcels of 2 acres
or more among the 890 home sites. |
