The Palos Verdes Peninsula Chamber of Commerce (here after referred to as PVPCC) is happy to conduct the Terranea Resort Opportunity Drawing for your choice of Terranea Resort Celebration; A Thanksgiving Dinner Party for six guests including a three bedroom Casita or A New Year’s Eve Gala including tickets for six and three luxurious overnight rooms; A $7,500 Value!. The official Terms and Conditions of the drawing are set forth herein. By entering the drawing, all entrant(s) agree to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Official Terms and further agree to be bound by PVPCC decisions and interpretations of these Official Terms. By entering, all entrant(s) release PVPCC, any sister charities or affiliate organizations of PVPCC, and any of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, or representatives from any and all liability, claims, costs, expenses, injuries or losses.

ELIGIBILITY

 Entrants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry to purchase tickets, be a ticket holder or win the prize. An affidavit of eligibility, photo identification, taxpayer identification number and other information will be required from winner(s) before prize will be released.

Void where prohibited. This is not a lottery; this is an opportunity by chance. All applicable Federal, State and Local laws and regulations apply.
PVPCC is obligated to report the value of prize to tax authorities as income.
Winners need not be present at drawing in order to win prize. Information sheets and funds must be filled out and turned into ticket box prior to drawing on October 15, 2010 to be eligible to enter.

HOW TO ENTER DRAWING

 To enter, a US$25.00 (twenty five US dollars) opportunity drawing ticket (worth one entry number) or three (3) opportunity drawing tickets (worth three entries) for US $50 (fifty dollars) can be purchased from the following: 1) front desk at PVPCC Office at 707 Silver Spur Road, Rolling Hills Estates, CA 90274; 2) by phone from the PVPCC Office at 310-377-8111 3) from an authorized PVPCC representatives.

At the time of purchase, contact information will need to be fully filled out to ensure ability to contact winner. Per IRS ruling, the purchase of opportunity drawing tickets is not considered a gift and does not qualify as a tax-deductible charitable contribution. The opportunity drawing ticket is the receipt of purchase.

VISA, MasterCard, and American Express payments are accepted at time of purchase. Checks or money orders should be made payable to PVP Chamber of Commerce. If the bank dishonors an entrant's check or credit card charge, the entry ticket will be declared invalid. Payments (ticket purchases) are not tax deductible.
No refunds are available and all ticket sales are final. No replacement of lost tickets.

PVPCC reserves the right to disqualify false entries or entries suspected of being false, and any ineligible, defective, incomplete or physically altered entry forms and entries that do not include valid or complete payment. Defective entry forms will be disqualified by PVPCC. It is the sole responsibility of the entrant to correct any declined payments and to comply with any federal laws or regulations as well as any laws specific to the state in which the entrant resides. In the event of a dispute of the rules of this opportunity drawing, the laws of California will preside.
PVPCC is not responsible for printing errors in any drawing-related material, or for lost, late, misdirected or non-delivered mail, or any other failure to receive orders, deliver tickets or deliver notifications. All entries become the property of PVPCC and will not be returned. All personal information collected by PVPCC will be used only by PVPCC and its representatives. PVPCC does not share or sell personal information collected to outside parties.

SELECTION OF WINNER(S) AND NOTIFICATION

The Terranea Resort Grand Prize will be drawn on October 15, 2010 at the Annual Citizen of the Year Gala Dinner to be held at Terranea Resort.
Winners need not be present at drawing in order to win prize.
Chances of winning are determined by the number of tickets sold and distributed. Winner need not be present to win. Only 1000 tickets will be printed.

Winner(s) will be selected and determined from all eligible entries.

Winner(s) will be contacted via information provided at time of purchase beginning with a phone call just after the drawing takes place and email notification will be sent no later than the next business day after the drawing. It is the sole responsibility of purchaser to notify the Palos Verdes Peninsula Chamber of Commerce should any information change between sale of the ticket and the drawing. Winner(s) must verify personal information by providing proper photo ID, and sign and deliver a completed W-9 form or other form as required by law

The Palos Verdes Peninsula Chamber of Commerce will receive 100% of the profit raised by the sale of opportunity drawing tickets to support ongoing activities of the organization to promote education via its student and educational scholarship programs as well as its events in the local business community. Founded in 1956, Palos Verdes Peninsula Chamber of Commerce is a registered 501(c)(6) not-for-profit organization.

All Prize winnings will be considered ordinary income for tax purposes as per the IRS and California Department of Revenue. All winners agree that all applicable taxes or fees are his or her full and complete responsibility.
