 | The Education Committee of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Chamber of Commerce will be awarding one scholarship this year to a graduating high school student from the Peninsula Community in the amount of $1,000. |
Qualifications for applicants are as follows:
• students who plan to attend an accredited college or university to study business or a related field in the next academic year. • students who have demonstrated good character and positive contributions to school and community over the past two years. • students who have a GPA of 2.5 or better for the past two years. • students who have been active in school and in community activities. • students who are applying for financial aid.
The eligibility criteria, application requirements, and scholarship application form are below. Please feel free to copy the materials as needed and to make your own flyers to announce the scholarships to the student body.
Applications should be sent to the Palos Verdes Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, Attention: Education Committee, 707 Silver Spur Road, Suite 100, Rolling Hills Estates, CA 90274. Applications must be received at the Chamber Office by April 30. Winners and their schools will be notified before the school year has ended so that the winners can receive the appropriate recognition and participate in any award ceremonies.
