Safe is the South Bay is a pledge that businesses can take to show they are following the proper protocol to safely reopen and slow the spread of COVID-19 for their employees and customers. Those that take the pledge can prominently display the Safe in the South Bay seal in their business to show that they are doing their part to advance business recovery and keep the community safe.

In accordance with the County of Los Angeles Health Officer Order, I PLEDGE that my business is in compliance with the appropriate Los Angeles County Reopening Protocol and that my business will adhere to the following general practices to mitigate the spread of COVID-19:

  1. Enforce use of face coverings for employees and customers

  2. Practice physical distancing of at least 6-feet

  3. Enact temperature/symptom checks for employees and customers

  4. Conduct regular cleanings and frequent disinfection

  5. Provide hand sanitizer for employees and customers

  6. Limit amount of contact required at point of purchase

  7. Post a copy of the Los Angeles County reopening protocol at the business entrance and distribute copies to employees
To participate and receive a Safe in the South Bay seal, take and submit the pledge here.

You will also need to self-certify that you have completed and are following the County’s reopening protocol by uploading an image of your completed Los Angeles County reopening protocol to the pledge form.

The Palos Verdes Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with our neighboring chambers in Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, El Segundo, and the Beach Cities Health District, will be promoting Safe in the South Bay businesses who participate and take the pledge.

In addition to displaying the Safe in the South Bay seal at the front of your business, you can add it to your website and social media pages. Be sure to use #SafeintheSouthBay, #healthheroes, and #pvpchamber.
